With around 370 selected exhibits, the exhibition spans seven millennia of the art of jewellery in all its various facets. The spectrum ranges from ancient Oriental exhibits from the 5th millennium BC to contemporary jewellery. The pieces provide insights into the societal, social, emotional and symbolic aspects of jewellery – then and now. The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication.
