Rolf Sachs ‘typically German?’ A reflection on German attributes and clichés
A garden gnome made of anthracite and dressed in miner’s gear represents the allegedly German virtue of industriousness; an oversized brass plum bob representing ‘precision’: these are only two of the works Rolf Sachs is showing exclusively at the MAKK. His pieces are located between the poles of art and design, leading the viewer to a totally new perspective on things.
