With his work, Stefan Wewerka occupies an independent position that includes architecture, design and art. His reputation as an ‘anti-fundamentalist‘ is, in particular, based on his furniture, especially on his cut, bent and distorted chairs. In cooperation with his estate and Tecta, the UAA devotes an exhibition to Wewerka’s furniture, as the first homage in Cologne, in honour of this important artist who passed away in September 2013.
