La Seda bijou jewellery presents pieces by Berlin-based artist Maria Volokhova. Drawing upon 17th century Dutch still life painting, the porcelain vessels straddle the border between art and design, between pure aesthetics and functionality. The serving plates, bowls and cups play with motifs alluding to transience, while interpreting them in a contemporary way, whether in the form of animal cadavers or in abstract organic shapes.
