Michele De Lucchi
Italian architect and designer Michele De Lucchi (born 1951) is the A&W Designer of the Year 2015. One of the founding members of the legendary 1980s Memphis design movement, De Lucchi is honoured as a “crossover explorer”. As architect and designer, sculptor and model-maker, photographer and writer, revolutionary and professor, philosopher and entrepreneur, he is an interdisciplinary designer par excellence. For the A&W Mentor Award 2015, he has nominated the French designer Philippe Nigro.
