Interior Design Week Cologne
PASSAGEN 2016
In 2016, PASSAGEN will once again provide both fresh perspectives on design classics and a launch pad for young talent. As Germany‘s biggest design event, PASSAGEN 2016 will be kicking off the international design season with projects and exhibitions by the crème de la crème of design, once again turning Cologne into a temporary design mecca. As a platform for current trends in design, architecture and interior design, in home design and lifestyle, PASSAGEN presents some 200 shows by international designers and anufacturers, by creative networks and crossovers, by universities, newcomers, publishers and communicators.
All of them will be guests on the Cologne design stage. Delivering 100% design, the venues are located along a route focusing on the city centre and on the creative hubs of Ehrenfeld, Belgisches Viertel and – for the first time this year – Klettenberg and Zollstock. Furthermore, there are the ‚furniture mile‘ at the Ring, the Rheinauhafen district and the areas around both the Cologne Museum of Applied Arts and the Kölnischer Kunstverein, the latter featuring Jasper Morrison in the A&W Designer of the Year exhibition and the German Design Council‘s award presentation. And, last but certainly not least, there is the Design Post in Deutz. The Design Parcours Ehrenfeld will once again showcase the full creative force of the local design scene with shows on, for example, Körnerstrasse and at the Rufffactory: a crossover of design, urbanism, sustainability and pop. It‘s showtime!
