British designer Jasper Morrison (born 1959) is a true industrial designer. Design has to be functional: ‘less is more’ is his credo, and his aesthetic style is influenced by Japanese culture. In the 30 years that he has run his own studio, he has designed more than 600 products for international manufacturers. Marking this anniversary, Jasper Morrison will be honoured with the A&W Designer 2016 award. He is the 20th award winner in a line of outstanding designers recognised by A&W.
