Made in Şişhane and Design Quartier Ehrenfeld have been collaborating since 2010, focusing on themes such as creative grassroots urban development, artisanal traditions and design, as well as sustainable tourism. In workshops held at the 2012 and 2014 design biennials in Istanbul, together with designers from North-Rhine Westphalia, the projects’ initiators Asli Kiyak Ingin and Sabine Voggenreiter realised the ongoing projects More than Design and Design Manual for Tourists, besides initiating further workshops (see No. 91-99).
