The MINIMALIST, a sitting object by artist Patrizia Ricci, is surprisingly comfortable and sturdy. It provides support while adapting to the user’s movements. Hard as steel yet soft as a feather, there is a seeming contradiction between the nature of the material and its usability, between the object’s apparent instability and its invitation to play with it that gen-erates a dynamic that is intensified by the object’s graphic transparency.
