Design students from the TH Köln have transformed the Westspitze at Alter  Güterbahnhof into an experimental lab for participative and post-automobile urban visions. Gleisland illustrates the area’s multi-facetted history, shaped by myriad streams of transport and materials. Experimental works reflect the conversion of the former freight terminal into a new residential quarter and explore the possibilities of changing urban transport cultures.
