SHINE investigates the relationship between ‘contemporary jewellery’ and ‘contemporary design’. In addition to aspects of craft and design, the pieces in these categories deliberately involve aspects of art. Embracing Exchange is part of Maken/Machen, an inter­national design project initiated by DDX Maastricht and PASSAGEN. SHINE was realised with kind support from the Province of Limburg, the City of Cologne and the Municipality of Maastricht, as well as from Yksi Connect Eindhoven and the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts and Design (MAFAD).
